Rob Bryant
Having picked up the guitar at the tender age of 10, Rob’s numerous years of playing both for his own projects as well as for others has helped him develop a unique approach to making music. In his formative years he also began to write his own songs. While he studied at Musician’s Institute and ACM, he worked with a wide variety of musicians and artists, quickly realising he wanted to do more than just play guitar. Living with a fellow songwriter for a year, Rob took to the art of producing as well as recording, and from a pure love of all things music the concept of The Leaf was formed.
‘Coming from a songwriting background means that when working with others I always put the song first - Whether that’s at the writing stage, getting truly to the heart and soul of what the other writers are trying to say, in recording by being sympathetic both in the parts I write and in the manner they’re produced/engineered to serve the song or even in the mix stage, where often the importance of the meaning takes a back seat, I make sure the focus truly stays on the song from start to finish.’
